A colleague and I have just been accepted to present a paper on using SFL and genre to teach writing in the college classroom. We will be presenting to the Midwestern Modern Language Association Permanent Session on Teaching Writing in College this year. It will be my first time actually reading rather than presenting a paper. Any tips for the switch in format?
I recently submitted an abstract cowritten with a colleague to the Midwestern Modern Language Association Conference. Hoping we’ll be able to share some ideas on SFL for first-year college composition.
This week I will be helping with another collaborative project, working on a manuscript for a journal. I’ll also be getting a few ideas put together for the Purdue OWL ESL section. Looks to be a busy week.
